Thanks for your reply. Previously, I played back the videorecording
from the SD card which I inserted into the built-in SD card reader in
my PC. I got interruption in the sound in the playback. Now I
transferred the movie file from the SD card onto hard drive of my PC,
and the videorecording played back with no problems.
So, this meant that the speed of playback directly from the SD card was
slow. The slowest part could not be the SD reader, because it is
in-built and I presume it has a speed of transfer of >10MB/s. I
transferred a 15-MB file to and from the SD card, and I got the speed
of writing of 1.2MB/s, and the speed of reading of 1.7MB/s. This
reading speed was much less than the speed of 7MB/s stated on the
Toshiba manufacturer's website for this kind of card. I am
disappointed. I had an option of buying a cheaper "no-name" card with
7MB/s write and read, and I did not. I am biting my nails with
annoyance. The only comfort for me that the Toshiba's card is made in
Japan, and any available "no-name" card was made in Taiwan or China,
thus more reliability. Or am I wrong ?
