Hi,

I am considering to buy my first digital camera. I narrowed my selection to
those two in subject. Similar price, similar lenses etc. What are the pros
and cons of each one. I know I can read them at any dc review site, but just
to strictly compare these two models.

Thanks
Henro

I'm not familiar with the Olympus, but if the Fuji S5200 is
anything like my S5100, pros would include a good lens, all of the
necessary manual controls, operating simplicity, light weight and
very good battery life from AA batteries (hundreds of shots from a
set of alkalines and twice as many from NiMH batteries). Drawbacks
would be the lack of a flash hotshoe, less than ideal manual
focusing and a dim viewfinder (EVF) when there isn't much light,
although it does have a focus assist lamp, which is bright enough to
help get the camera pointed where it's needed.
