Contacted Canon about my daughter's dropped Powershot A95. They gave
me a choice: repair the A95 for $89.00 + parts or replace with
refurbished Powershot A610 for $125 + $10.00 shipping.
Anyone have any oppinions on which deal I should take?

I think the A610 is the better choice.

I use the A610 and recommend it. One of the best point and shoots I've used.

Well, looks like they're both history so I can't check specs on A610. I
own the A95, but in a similar situation (and these were the only options
I was considering), would definitely take the 610

Sure you can check the specs on the A610:

The A610 is a better camera. The A95 has a Digi 1 processor (first
generation) while the A610 has the next generation. You would notice a
difference in CA (chromatic aberrations)with the A610 doing a much
better job. Otherwise they are pretty similar in most respects except
you will have to switch to SD memory cards as the A610 does not take CF
cards. You can also bring your AA batteries over to the A610.
