Post subject: problem with Sony Mavica FD-something (bought in 2000)
Archived from groups: rec>photo>digital (more info?)

I have a 6-year old Sony Mavica (don't remember which model - FD
something). It stores the pictures on 3-1/2" disks.

Lately when I've taken photos with it, there is a "washed out" area. I
can see it just looking thru the viewer before I take the photos, so I
think the lens or something has a smudge on it, etc. Is there a way to
remove whatever lens parts to wipe the inside surface with a lint-free
cotton rag, or is all I can do is wipe the exterior?
