Need info on Panasonic/Lumix FZ50

Post subject: Need info on Panasonic/Lumix FZ50

For those who owns the FZ50, could you tell me whether the a filter
screen can be attached to the front of the camera's lens? Is it the
standard screw-in filter typically used in old camera's lenses? What
diameter size is the lens' filter size? I noticed in some P&S digital
cameras, the mouth of the lens appear to be smooth (therefore could
not screw in a filter).

My DMC-FZ30 has a 55mm filter thread. As far as I know, the FZ50 is the
same.

Recently bought one. 55mm screw in works fine.
