I am just listing my options, and need to
know the release date of the new dSLR Olympus
E2 (successor of the E1) . Are there any

What I heard is summer/fall of this year. It includes live preview on a
swiveling LCD, pixel count should be at least 10MP. We had a thread
about that recently in the forum.

Is the E2 another name for Olympus's forthcoming P1? I just came
across a brief mention of it along with photos which show that it
has a twist & flip LCD display, and it's described as having live
preview. No info. about the sensor's resolution though. Four new
lenses are also shown.

Yes, no info about the resolution, but it is safe to assume that its
featureset wont be lower than the one of the E510, which would mean at
least 10MP resolution and IS.
