Well, the belt itself was already 50 euro and a support wheel's support (?)
broke of, so that was replaced also. Don't forget: it's an Opel with a BMW
2.5 litre Turbo Diesel engine. I think at a BMW dealer it would have been a
lot more.
Without it, you can't drive: no powersteering, no alternator, no fan, no
waterpump and possibly more?
Not that much compared with what my bank teller had just the week before: a
broken distribution belt! BANG: 600 euro for a VW Polo petrol car. Probably
some damage to the valves, because the belt itself it not so expensive.

Going backwards, DSLR to Fixed Lens. - For quite a few years, I stayed with the Sony DSC-D770 and its pro twin, the DKC-FP3. I refused to upgrade because the cameras were not the limit on what I wanted to do. My skill was. Most of my earlier work in film was large or medium format, so I..

2-part case for DSLR? - Carrying cases for SLRs are/were often in two parts: the front part could be removed for shooting, and the back/lower part stayed on to protect the camera. I have a D70 and would like to have such a protective case for it. I've looked at the Nikon..

is a refurb dslr/advanced p&s as good as a new one? - like,,,i buy my computers refurbed because they get the same warrantee and with computers is only a matter of replacing bad parts with good. are dslr's and advanced point and shoot the same way? aside from cosmetics, are you comfortable with a refurbed....
