Connect using your camera's USB cable. Be sure camera is turned on.
In Win XP, right-click on My Computer -->properties
Go to the Hardware tab, then click on Device Manager.
Then, on the top menu, select the "Action" item. (Be sure the name
of your PC or else the c: drive is selected/highlighted on the tree
view). The Action menu includes a slection "Find new hardware."
Click that and Win XP should shortly make a noise and show the USB
device-active gizmo in the taskbar. After that happens, you should
be able to find the camera's drive letter in Windows Explorer.
Please note that in Device Manager, if your PC or the C drive are
not highlighted, you won't see the Find New Hardware item under
action.
If for some reason the above doesn't work, pick up a USB card
reader, (Kodak makes a good one), plug that in, insert your SD or
other memory card, and you should be in business.
If that doesn't work, I suspect you will need to do a repair
partial reinstallation of Windows XP, which basically uses the Win
XP installation disc to go over your system, offering to replace
any damaged system files it finds or install missing ones, to get
the system back to health.
I hope this resolves your problem. The Fuji A202 is quite a good
little camera for general picture taking. I have one and like it a
lot.
