I'm an amateur photographer, but I've spent quite a bit of $ lately on
better equipment (may not matter).
I've been taking photos for the local Western Riding Club all year.
Various members, having seen the images on the club website
(http://cawri.com/photos.shtml), have finally talked me into selling my
pics to them.
Not knowing how much to charge, I looked at the website of the team that
were contracted to take pics at the yearly show (that's like a state
fair in the US, since they were contracted I wasn't allowed to take
pics), they are charging $15/image for the first 5, and $10/image
thereafter.
So, I decided to charge $10 per image for the first 10, $7 for 11-50,
and $5 for images 51 and onward. These will be the full-sized images,
edited if necessary, but converted to 300dpi .jpg (for printing) as most
of them are .raw. They'll go on a CD.
Is this a fair pricing structure? I was going to simply charge $10
each, but my first customer asked for all of the pics of him and his
spouse, which comes out to a massive $1200 at $10/ea, and $730 with the
pricing structure I'm suggesting.
Thanks for any advice!

Before you start trying to sell your work, you need to understand how to do
a simple URL reference. In other words, TEST before you leap. You seem to
have screwed up your reference. Goodbye. >> Stay informed about: What's a fair price? |

You could ask some members of your club if they bought any pictures
from the yearly show, and if so if they thought they got good value.
If they did, then chances are they'll be willing to pay your prices.
Ultimately, the fair price is what your customers are willing to pay. >> Stay informed about: What's a fair price? |

The OP's URL works fine. The problem is apparently on your end, Georgie.

For your information, I did *not* screw it up. Not that it matters,
because I know the urls by heart, but I copy/paste it from the browser
address, so I can't mistype it by accident.
