What is equivalent to Canon Ixus 400

Hello,
4 years ago I bought a Canon Ixus 400.
It was stolen and my insurers say that the equivalent replacement is
the Canon Ixus 70.
However, other people are telling me that the Canon Ixus 90 is the
equivalent.

Can anyone comment on this?

I don't know a great deal about how the technology has developed, but
I imagine that I would not need to spend the same amount as I did 4
years ago to get an equivalent camera ie I am not expecting to get the
full price I paid for it, but I do want to get the same quality.

I don't need 9mega pixels, 7 is fine for what I do, but I do not want
to compromise on other things.
I also don't want to be fiddled!
