??? Is the C330 a loss leader? Nearly a year ago I bought a 1GB
Extreme-II card for $79. I'm sure that the price has dropped since
then, and the C330 probably will work optimally with slower, even
less expensive cards. The request was for compatibility with _a_
card larger than 512 MB, not with the largest available cards.
Since you so easily succumb to temptations to speculate, I'll do
so too. The OP might have contemplated upgrading to a 5D or D200 in
a couple of years, and would like to invest in a card that can
travel the same upgrade path. Or the OP is trying to prevent one of
the "accidents" you frequently warn of - removing a card before the
camera has finished writing to it. With a sufficiently large card,
many, many pictures could be taken on long vacations without having
the need to engage in risky maneuvers such as swapping cards. Or
maybe, like you, Alan is simply curious. <g>
