Is there a way to suppress or alter the startup behaviour on the Kodak
Z650?
In particular, popping up the flash unit ("clack!") and zooming out the
lens,
and also displaying that silly "splash screen"
that comes up just long enough to look like the Staples' "That Was
Easy" button
before disappearing.

P.S. I'm thinking of having a "ballast" made that would screw into the
tripod mount,
with its own tripod mount on the bottom, so that it's easier to hold
stably.
