Thanks to all the replies I received regarding my previous posting on
my new Kodak Z612 Camera.

Today I went to Office Max and purchased a SanDisk 1 GB SD (SDSDB-1024)
Memory Card for my Z612 on sale for $20. Before I open the card from
the sealed package I was wondering if anyone here used this SD Card
with their Z612 (which does video clips at 30 fps)? Reason I wonder is
that I just read that the SanDisk Ultra 1GB Card is better for the Z612
Camera. Any one with a Z612 (or similar camera) use the 1GB San Disk
card (SDSDB-1024) that I bought for video clips?

Thanks in advance of any opinions / advice

Regards,

Lou

Not quite what you asked, but I've used an el-cheapo 1gb toshiba card on
my P850 to do a video - no problems.

The 1GB card in my wife's C743 is a PNY, and it works fine for video
clips. I suspect that any 1GB card will be fast enough for your camera.

PNY sells more than one type of SD card. They have cheap ones
(which I use for an mp3 player) and faster, more expensive ones. If
Lou's PNY card isn't fast enough, are you providing the money back
guarantee? <g>

Cards are now cheap enough that if it were me, I'd immediately
open the PNY package and use the card. If it proves too slow to
avoid video dropouts or worse, it should be fine for still pictures.
Then, since video really eats up memory in a hurry, a bigger (2GB),
faster card could be used both for video and as a backup in case the
1GB card ever runs out of space before its pictures can be saved on
a computer's hard disk, CD or DVD.
