DRM complaints aren't a Windows Vista issue, they are a Media Center or Media
Player issue, which is also the current installed on Windows XP [if you keep
up to date].
In any event, I recall no issues playing DVD content off of my harddrive, but
I will try it out tonight.
BTW ... if you wonder, almost all creative labs hardware prior to X-Fi is
obsolete. They are based upon a kernel based audio stack that is old
technology and insecure [meaning it can crash the OS with bad drivers]. The
new X-Fi cards are based on user mode drivers and OpenAFS. I replaced my
[new] Audigy card with an X-Fi Extreme Gamer and my audio issues went away in
World of Warcraft [one down!]; the only issue is that Direct3D must be
emulated on Vista [no matter the sound card] and cames relying up on it lose
DD5.1/7.1. They have a compatibility project that is still in the works.

I have installed and reactiveated Vista several times with no issue. I don't
buy the one time reactivation bit at all.
