Some of the denizens of this pit seem pretty hostile to wedding
photographers. The worst are some of those that actually work as
wedding photographers. Even so, there are a few nice people who will
answer your questions as best they can, so just ignore the knotheads.

This is an equipment forum, of course, so questions about equipment are
likely to be better received than questions about posing or business.

Does that include questions about capturing photos of vampires in the
nude?

I think I'd rather capture vampires in the nude directly. Got chicks
can be really hot.

Actually, to me, they look rather cold.

As long as they're wedding night photos . . .

I agree with C J and Skip. Personally, I don't understand why people in this
NG would be hostile to Wedding Photographers. Must be the "spirit of the
competition" in a negative cut throat way which, would be kind of ridiculous
and a major waste of time if the aggressor was living in a state other than
the state the wedding photographer who was posing a question, resided in.

It's not like people in the wedding photographer's state is going to call up
the hostile person living in the other state and say, "wow, you're so damn
good with your photography, can we fly you over to our state so you can be
our wedding photographer? Huh? Huh??"

If that was the case, shoot, I'd be in Nebraska tomorrow, Calcutta on Friday
and Lake Titticaca on Sunday shooting weddings and nekkid goth chicks. Psh.
C'mon. Let's get serious here. There literally is no room for anything else
in the head but, the brain.

It's because people who have no photographic or business expertise
persist in photographing weddings and ruining a once-in-a-lifetime
event for the participants.

"once-in-a-lifetime event"?? Where have you been?
And the MOTB is not a participant.

THIS IS A SIG LINE; NOT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY!

Don Imus met with the Rutgers women's basketball
team Thursday and apologized to them for hours.
It left a sour taste. Don Imus just got a telegram
from the Stetson showroom in New York saying if
he's going to grovel he will have to give back the hat.

In theory, a wedding is/should be a once-in-a-lifetime event.
Regardless, it's an event that needs to be captured by someone who
knows what they're doing.
