opionosn or reviews....?? Until I saw the camera I was unaware Vivitar

Vivitar seem to be low price stuff, the kind of camera that the
satellite sales channels sell at inflated prices because it has a lot
of features but may not be anywhere near as good as it sounds. having
said that I don't own one, so I'm just going on hearsay. If you try to
find reviews of the product on the web you'll likely to come up blank
and I guess that's a warning. From looking at the vivitar site the
6330 has autofocus and the 6300 is fixed focus

Personally I would be wary of buying these cams unless someone comes
along and advises otherwise. You could also try posting on
rec.photo.digital.point+shoot

The camera is currently sale for $89.99. So if the camera is durable
and takes good pictures then it seems like a good deal.

It might be a little expensive for that :O) If you look on any website
for cameras (I think you're in the USA so i can't advise you which is
best) then you'll probably see a fair amount of small point and shoots
from reputable companies for reasonable prices, or you may catch one
at the end of its cycle of sales life, where you can get yourself a
real bargain.

I'd say it was pretty good, if as you said it works okay. I really
can't say and finding a review is like finding gold, which is strange
as they seem to sell a lot on tv. Maybe that is an indication.

Aha, I managed to find a review for a smaller vivtar and the chap
seems quite pleased, though he does point out that with the fixed
focus you have to make sure you have the correct setting locked
(macro/normal/infinity) but he seems to like what he got. Review on
