I take shots most days in connection with my work in Estate Agency/Real
Estate. Sometimes I have time to make adjustments but usually not. The shots
from the camera always seem to need a little brightening, a little more
colour saturation and a touch of sharpening.

I know I can set the camera (Olympus 5060) to do these tweaks but after
experimentation not as happy as if I do manually.

So are there any wide angle compacts (must fit in my briefcase) that I could
use shots straight from the camera?

Ken

28mm equivalent is about the best you'll do in compact land. I don't
really consider that wide angle myself.

Anyways, until they make a camera that hooks up to your brain to apply
algorithms for in-camera processing, you'll need to process pictures.
Either that, or you go full-manual and take a few shots till you get
what you want.

The reason is that digicams don't use the Ansel Adams zone system,
going for true black and true white in every pic. They expose for grey,
and assume you can fix it on your computer. I've taken to switching to
Manual anyways because I like to use flashes (multiple) indoors.

None that I am aware of. The best you can do is to download photos to a
laptop and adjust them in batch mode. Some will be off, but if most of
your photos are shot in the same type of lighting conditions (or similar
conditions), batch adjustments should only take a few minutes.
