Rita is just having an orgasmic moment with his new toy.
When you buy Sandisk extreme III Flash cards you get Sandisk's own
recovery software with them. It not only works on CFCs but on your
hard drives too, despite their claim it is not intended for fixed
drives.

It seems to me than dual flash cards in a Canon camera is a good idea
but I can think of plenty of ways to get better use out of it than
overcoming "User failure".

It's a good thing you weren't photographing a Biker's convention at the
time, or you might be a bit sore!
Careful what you ask for, you might get it!

Are you trying to tell us that Canon's manual for the Mk III
should be Digital Photography for Dummies? This begs the question :

Q. How do you distinguish smart Mk III photographers from dummies?

A. The smart one's manuals aren't dog-eared.

Good story. There is recovery software also for getting deleted files
back.

How thoughtful of them NOT to also mirror the delete function!

The chances of the recovery software working in that case
would only be about 100%. The cost of the free software, vs
the depreciation cost of an already obsolete $4.5k camera
needs to be considered as well.

send pix.

On second though, don't send pix.

That's what comes from using tools that have the Delete next
to the Copy/Move button ... and not thinking before clicking.

Please go learn what the phrase "begs the question" really means.

Thanks.
