I have been looking at purchasing the subject lens (Sony 75-300 mm zoom). I
normally buy from Amazon. I have checked their prices and they have two
different ones. One is $170 and the other is $204, I believe both are with
free shipping. What makes the difference. Are there two different lens?

A quick check tells me that these are not two different lenses from Amazon,
but two different prices from two different vendors.

Sony's lenses are listed here:

You're looking at the SAL-75300, suggested retail $229.99. A Google Product
Search shows a B&H price of $169 used, $209.95 new.
