Archived from groups: rec>photo>digital (more info?)

Hi,

I'm looking for software that can do this:
1 - create slideshows for DVD
2 - has Ken Burns effect for the photo's
3 - has the ability to put a caption above or below (i.e. not in) the
picture.
4 - this caption should be automatically genereted from EXIF values and
XPdata (like title, comment)
5 - not too expensive (i.e. below 100 dollar)

This seems to be a very difficult task. Especially point 3 and 4 seem
almost impossible.

Can anybody help me out here?

Greetings,

Roger

Sony Vegas (lite) will do all but exif reading. I think Proshow Gold
might be better suited though I've not used that. Vegas is really for
video and it's not easy to learn if you don't know video.

Not sure if this will do as you want - no idea what "Ken Burns" stuff
is. Microsoft put out a free thing called "photo story 3 for Windows"
You can buy a Sonic plugin to burn the finished work to DVD. I don't
like the way it maybe will, maybe wont burn a disc but that may only be
my burner doing it.

It's limited to 300 images. Proshow has a monster learning curve. I've
been using it for 18 months and still struggle with some of it's
advanced features. It isn't cheap either.

Cyber Link (I think it's Corel something now) can handle 256 images per
folder and has plenty of transitions although I thought they were mostly
useless except for one or two.
