Consider the Canon 8400F.
A helluva buy at $150 USD. Scans slides and negative film too.
Canon knows a lot about digital imaging.

I recently bought an Epson Perfection 3490 Photo, and I'm
very pleased with its capabilities. The going price at the
time was $95, but I found it for $90 at Best Buy by ordering
it online for pickup at a store.

WOW! What a great price. Newegg is one of my favorite vendors too.
Forgot to check them when I bought mine. Sad
