It was an order from Obergruppenführer Bowser. He didn't say
"Please".

I think that should be left for discussion. IAC, my phots
are in (ain't
archive nice) w/o description of the issues, those should be
evident enough.

Fair enough. If you photos are obviously sucky then there's
no need to explain. Up to you.

My guess is that Alan will submit photos that would match or exceed
what the rest of us would find completely acceptable, but don't live
up to his standards. I can't imagine Alan taking an obviously sucky
photo, let alone keeping it on file.

Probably wasted my best bad travel pic, but I posted it here before.

Be careful what you dig up: when I was a young person Barstow was on our
route to visit my parents' parents in Utah. I had nightmares about Barstow
at night for several years. Hope this doesn't dredge up whatever it was that
caused them.
I wonder if a loose interpretation of what is "bad" about travel is such a
good idea. We all know what travel pictures are, and probably have a pretty
good idea what "bad travel pictures" look like. I'm understanding the
pictures will be bad pictures about travel, not pictures about bad travel.
Eh?
Any too-convoluted logic trying to justify summat outside those bounds will
likely draw considerable badinage and persiflage, if not some downright
raillery.

It is still the place of desolate nightmares, but better lit now.

I see no reason why both concepts, or a combination of both would not
fit. I believe I have submitted shots of both types.

Why not? We submitters for this mandate should have no complaint with
regard to comments on these shots as we have already labeled them as
"bad". The comments should truly be tongue in cheek.

Neither of us.
