My beloved S1 has developed the zotzed display, and my browsing seems to
indicate that this is a problem that Canon knows about, stands behind, and I
have to call them tomorrow to arrange for fully-covered repair.

Any other S1 owners out there that have gone through this? I could use a
little reassurance that this will be painless and ultimately rewarding (to
me).

I really, REALLY like this camera...
