Does anyone have a Ricoh Caplio R5 camera? Mine turned up yesterday
and was working fine (in mass storage mode) but today it will not
connect to any computer I try. It just sits there saying "Connecting"
but never does. I followed the instructions in the manual to the
letter but it looks to me like it's screwed. I was wondering if
anybody had any idea about how to perform a hard reset to get it back
to factory defaults (not through the menu option that only does some
of the settings)? This is the second R5 that has done this to me and
I'm being to think that I'll just ask for my money back.

I suggest that you use a card reader rather than the computer connection.
