Promaster AAs seem to stay charged - both shelf life and in even
flash use - almost forever. Also reasonably priced.

No $4 to park! No $6 admission! http://www.INTERNET-GUN-SHOW.com

forget AA NiMh; get Lithium instead, you will get 5x more shots.
also, you will save space on the way home instead of carrying 10 nimh
batteries.

http://www.imaging-resource.com/ACCS/BATTS/BATTS.HTM

The site gets updated from time to time.
There is a site that gives detailed discharge info on a range of
battery sizes as well but I can't find it in my bookmarks.

Cheers,
Allan
