I love this camera, but I keep getting dust blurs on pictures (about
once a month). After sending it off for a cleaning (under warranty)
twice, I heard about using a high powered vacuum to remove the dust
particles around the telescoping lens. I found a great solution -- it
is called a "Vacuum Micro Attachment Kit" available from Cyberguys
(www.cyberguys.com) for only $7.95. It hooks up to any canister or
upright vacuum and does an amazing job with any electronic device. In
fact, I have stopped using compressed gas/air, as the kit does a better
job.

Compressed air was probably blowing in dust, Using a vac can induce a
static shock and ruin a card and more, I just wipe, My sony W5 goes out
everyday and no issues, you do use a case, yes..

go to any bookshop and buy yourself a soft colour painting brush, just swipe
it /dust off the lens.
