From what I've seen on Panasonic's documentation, they do not make a
remote shutter cable for the Lumix FZ8.

Are there any 3rd party manufacturers that make on that'll work with the
Lumix FZ8?

Do people still use a shutter release cable in digital cam.. - I seem to notice that the advance digital cameras, as well as some (if not all) models and brands for the DSLR do not have a screw-in attachement for a shutter release cable.
