I have a Canon A95. Recently the pictures taken with this camera have faint
vertical lines. Sometimes the lines can only be seen when the pictures are
"zoomed" for viewing. If a picture is taken in portrait mode (that is, the
camera is rotated 90 degrees from its normal position to take the picture)
the lines are horizontal. This problem happens with several different
memory cards. Anyone know of this problem?

Thanks.

Are you shooting in bright light (aiming the camera at a bright light source
or the sun) sensors don't handle this well.
