BUT that is not how Colour Management works.
Print Space in Photoshop should - -
(A) be set to "Let PS determine Colour" and you then select the Printer
Profile, (Not Adobe RGB), with the Printer Driver set to No Colour
Management
or
(B) be set to "Let Printer determine Colour" if the Printer Driver will
then be selecting its Profile and doing the colour management.
I can't advise which way it should be done, because I don't know how the HP
& the Gretag Macbeth are meant to work together, but your documentation
should tell you.
Selecting Adobe RGB as the Print space in (A) is almost the same as "Let
Printer Determine Colours".
You should also be selecting the Printer Profile in "View" > "Proof
Colours", which will then give you a closer approximation to the finished
Print.
What you see on screen, without Proof, does NOT make any allowance for the
Printer or Paper.
