Canon Powershot A610 does not download

I have a Canon Powershot A 610 and when I connect to my PC with win xp
using a usb cable, my software Zoombrowser no longer detects the
camera. I have done hours of searching and can find nothing to fix
this problem. The closest fix I got was the registry edit and
services.msc correction others say worked for them but does not seem
to work here. When I connect the camera and go to my computer, it
does recognize the camera there, but Zoombrowser does not recongize
the camera and I cannot manually download any pictures either from the
camera.

Any help would be appreciated.

Since the camera is being recognized by xp, remove zoombrowser and
re-install. I assume you have no luck manually opening zoombrowser and
have it look for the camera.
