I know every retail store imaginable now does this but there was one
mentioned here about a year ago which was fantastic at taking small files
and making them larger. They said they didn't care about size or resolution
and not to try to upres yourself, just send the file. A few people commented
that they really loved the results from this service. I can't for the life
of me nail it with a google groups search or in my records so I'm open to
any similar service you've tried and love.

Thanks!

This is interesting - can they really turn a small jpeg into something
able to be printed on a large poster? How small?
I've got my photos on Photomax and they do some great quality prints
and posters at reasonable prices ... you can sign up for a free account
and get 20 prints for free at www.pictureofhealth.myphotomax.com
(unlike some photo web sites there are no obligatins to purchase or to
log in)

Not ridiculously small, but they would do a good job of up-res, print and
delivery of a 16x20 IIRC for a very fair price.

Any place that uses a RIP (Raster Image Processor) could probably do it.
Generally the larger it's printed, the farther away it's intended to be
viewed.
