Well, the belt itself was already 50 euro and a support wheel's support (?)
broke of, so that was replaced also. Don't forget: it's an Opel with a BMW
2.5 litre Turbo Diesel engine. I think at a BMW dealer it would have been a
lot more.
Without it, you can't drive: no powersteering, no alternator, no fan, no
waterpump and possibly more?
Not that much compared with what my bank teller had just the week before: a
broken distribution belt! BANG: 600 euro for a VW Polo petrol car. Probably
some damage to the valves, because the belt itself it not so expensive.
