Post subject: Already Planning a Foliage Trip
Archived from groups: rec>photo>digital (more info?)

I'm planning a trip to western NC (Asheville area) in the fall to shoot
some of the foliage with my new Nikon D80.

Is anyone familiar enough with that area to guesstimate the right time
for peak foliage? (I'm looking at the week of October 11, right now....)

Also, can anyone steer me to good websites/online resources for guidance
in shooting foliage/nature scenes? (I'm new to DSLR's, but eager to
learn quickly.)

Thanks!
