In CS3 do you get the option to Open RAW files in Camera Raw FROM BRIDGE
WITHOUT GOING TO PHOTOSHOP?

In my bridge there is no option for this, i have to click open and this
brings me to photoshop.

Anyone had this problem before? Or is this the way CS3's bridge is?

Thanks for replies.

Matt.

I tried this update already and nothing.

The possibility to open RAW files in CR without going to PS was in Bridge since
the very beginning. It is present in CS2, for example. Are you implying that
they disabled it somehow by accident and then re-enabled it in a later update?

Bridge CS3 should open camera raw files by right clicking on the
picture and choosing "Open in Camera Raw," using the file menu and
choosing "Open in Camera Raw," or by selecting the image and pressing
Cmd-R. All of these should bring up your photo with the camera raw
dialogue box.

Bridge CS3 has been enhanced to allow JPG and TIFF files to be opened
in "camera raw" as well. If you are importing your raw files in DNG
format, Bridge should give you the option of embedding the raw file in
the DNG. I am not sure why you would want to do that since you could
just keep the raw files somewhere else without creating enormous DNG
files.
