It's not an isolated problem. I bought a Nikon D40 and a Tiffen
Skylight filter and a threaded rubber lens hood. The lens hood would
not screw in. As soon as I can get back to the camera store I'll
exchange the Tiffen for a filter that does accept a screw-in lens
hood. The rigid plastic Nikon lens hood works over the filter, but I
don't like a rigid hood.

No. It goes on the included lens hood adapter.

>2. Lens hood can't be used with a Filter..??

No. The lens hood can be used with a filter.

>3. Lend Cap can't fit on the Filter. ??

No. Lens cap does fit on the filter if the filter is stack threaded.
And lens cap isn't terribly important with the lens retracted way back
into the lens hood adapter.

>4. DMW-CHFZ8 case is to small the take the adapter + Filter..

I use a much cheaper and better aftermarket leather case that fits
everything.

Filters mount to the lens hood adapter.
The lens hood can be mounted at the same time.

Not a problem with the FZ8.
