PIXMA iP6600D Comments or recommendations

I'm looking at the Canon PIXMA iP6600D for my first photo printer.

Any negative/good comments on this printer, or recommendations for
others.

As a first photo printer, I don't think you could go wrong with the
6600D!

Bought mine about 2 months ago; I just love it! It's fast, quiet, and
does a wonderful job of printing for me. The software that comes with it
is easy to use, and it can print direct from a few type of memory cards
(note: xD picture cards are not one of them). I've only used Canon
papers with it so far and have no complaints. BTW, I the the semi-gloss
paper is great!

Can't say much about its thirst for ink. The tanks seem kind of small,
but I've printed perhaps 50 4x6s and maybe 10 or so 8x10s and three
tanks are showing about half full, the rest show almost full.

I believe advertised retail price is $199; I've seen them advertised
for less than $150 after rebates, etc.
