Yes. You set the SB-R200s to Group A and Channel 3. The built-in flash
should be set to commander mode using the Custom Settings menu. The D70
cannot command more than one group and must use Channel 3, so all the
flashes will fire using TTL without exposure compensation for any group
of strobes; you cannot have one flash brighter than another. You fix
this by moving some strobes further away or closer to adjust
brightness.
It is possible to use the built-in flash as a flash to control other
units by setting it to TTL, and using SU-4 mode on the other flashes,
but the SB-R200 has no SU-4 mode.
The light contributed by the built-in flash is usually a problem only
with close-ups, in which case you will want the little IR shield.
If you want the full power of the SU-800 Speedlight Commander, I would
recommend the SB-800 Speedlight instead. This unit will do everything
that the Commander will do, plus it is a good flash unit in its own
right. If you already have the SB-800 then the Commander unit is
probably just a waste of money.
The SB-R200 can be mounted on the camera using the supplied tripod
adaptor and a bracket, or it can be mounted on the front of the lens
using the SX-1 mounting ring for which it needs no adaptor. The SX-1
needs the properly threaded adaptor for the lens, though. You can get
two SB-R200s, the SX-1 and five adaptors, two close-up diffusers for
the SB-R200s, some gels and a mounting clamp in the R1 wireless
close-up system kit. The R1C1 kit includes all that, plus the SU-800.
The SB-R200 may also be controlled via a cable to the SU-800 for
non-CLS cameras, but that is irrelevant for your purposes. You have a
CLS camera already.
