Post subject: Newegg and Nikon D200 Gray Market FYI
Archived from groups: rec>photo>digital (more info?)

I recently bought a Nikon D200 for Newegg (body only) and it turned out to
be a "Gray Market" camera. I called to complain and they offered a refund
with a restocking fee. I let them know I would dispute the charge with my
CC company so they gave me a full refund. I now see they have pulled the
item and are selling "Recertified: Nikon D200"'s, and I would assume they
too are Gray Market.

Nikon D80 vs. D200 - I have a D70 and am very happy with it. I want to upgrade to 10mp and like the idea of a bigger rear screen; qualities shared by both the D80 and D200. I'm happy to spend the extra bucks for a D200 if it is worth it. I am an amateur (nature/wildlife)....
