Hi people, I am pretty much of a newcomer to digital. Always thought
nothing could beat the quality of slides. Now I am converted. What I
like best is the ease of experimentation in connection with clever
software. It fosters creativity more than film did. To do my 'In
Memoriam (to an egg)' or 'Sick Orange' or the 'Time Tree' pre-digital
would have needed a dark room with lots of equipment and lots of time
and technical expertise. Now it's a matter of clicks and your fantasy
can doodle along. You might not like the result, but digital makes for
great fun and is cheap after the initial outlay for the camera. I use
a Panasonic Lumix FZ50 which allows me lots of manual choices.
Those shots are on our website under 'Greencards'. The site is NOT
commercial. Everything on it is converted to free greeting cards and
short clips.
Enjoy - Klaus and Rusty
