Post subject: Manfrotto 190XPROB tripod and 322RC2 head
Archived from groups: rec>photo>digital (more info?)

My tripod and head came in today, and I'm glad I went for the
XPROB/322RC2 combo. The XPROB is heavier than the 190DB, and the
horizontal column ability is as described - rock steady.

The 322RC2 pistol grip ball head is solid as well. I unscrewed the
plate base and fastened it to the other side of the handle so I can use
it left handed.

WARNING! If you use the three set screws on the Manfrotto tripod, screw
the head down on the column screw until it seats, then back off just a
tad (bit more than a scosh). Then tighten the set screws. Someone at the
camera shop at run the head all the way down on the column screw,
tightened it hand tight, then tightened the set screws. When they backed
out the set screws, it wouldn't come loose, so they had to use a vise to
get the head off.
