9 frames per second and 1000mm zoom to capture... a propane tank?
You really are just toying with us, aren't you? I think you are.
You're parodying the obsession with gear that characterizes this NG. >> Stay informed about: Machine Gunning The D3 At 1000mm!! |

If only you hadn't exceed you bandwidth limit. Please be aware that
posting links to pictures in sites which have blown their daily limits
is not only frustration but it's bloody annoying too.

Nikon is developing a super high speed camera for sports
photographers. RichA should be thrilled because this new model
(called the SuperGatling, internally) gets so hot in use, that
plastic isn't used for any of its components. Even the new
proprietary Li-Ion battery has a rugged full metal jacket. >> Stay informed about: Machine Gunning The D3 At 1000mm!! |

Hey, they don't have to use metal at all. Just give up the idea of
selling it to any professional...
But it works out ok, because the plastic stuff is aimed at the person
transitioning from P&S. >> Stay informed about: Machine Gunning The D3 At 1000mm!! |

Should point out though, that at 1000mm f8, a crop sensored camera is
going to put more pixels into any given area, a 4/3rds camera will put
nearly 4 times the pixel count into any given area, like the propane
tank, compared to the FX format. Unless you can fill the frame with
your subject, telephoto is where the big sensors lose ground. >> Stay informed about: Machine Gunning The D3 At 1000mm!! |

So why do you put "best viewed full size" on your pages when you don't
offer the original full-sized file? >> Stay informed about: Machine Gunning The D3 At 1000mm!! |

The parody seems pretty narrowly focused on one particular overtly
brand-conscious one that everyone is all too familiar with.

Private Dimitris recommends the use of incendiary rounds when shooting

Good thinking, private. For that you've earned yourself another
stripe. And a cautionary note in your personnel files.
