In mixed lighting, which is rather common, there
is no "single" colour temperature, so I wouldn't
obsess (or spend money) chasing a chimera.

What if it showed you a graph of the visible spectrum?

Well a graph of the visible spectrum will not show what is happening.

What you need to to show something like the CIE 1931 color space, a 2
dimensional plot of colors.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CIE_1931_color_space

On the space the blackbody temps is a curved line, with most of the
colors not being able to be represented as a color temp.

But just pick one point, say light at 520nm, what color temp is it?
there is not way to say since it is so from from any blackbody color at
any temperature.

Here is the blackbody curve, fall off that line and you need to do more
then just set the color temp of your camera, which is where the tint
value comes into play.

What if it showed you a facsimile of the cheque you would get,
revealing to whom you should sell the photo? Now THAT would be worth a
premium.

A: Not necessarily. I could be arguing in my spare time.

As far as I know, and I've got 30+ years of professional photographic
experience, there are none. Besides, it would be just uneconomical and
unnecessary for a manufacturer to make one. 3-point reading color meters
already cost $1000 US or more just because they don't sell a lot of them
as compared to regular light meters, which can be had for less than $100.
Do you really think they would sell more color meters just because it was
a light meter also? Plus, with digital cameras having built-in White
Balance, either Auto or Manual, one doesn't really need a color meter
anymore, except for film.

Personally, I never cared much for the all-in-one concept that's so
popular these days. It's a recipe for disaster, particularly when it
comes to business. That's why I have my color meter, 2 incident light
meters (both flash reading, too), 1 degree spot meter, and a reflectance
meter all as separate tools. If one goes "down," I'm not out of
business. Ditto for all my other equipment.
