Was wondering if I'm alone in the problems I've had with a Kodak V550?
Shortly after purchasing it, it developed fine-pitched lines through the
pictures. Kodak fixed it under warranty. Neither Kodak nor the store I
purchased the camera through would offer an extended warranty at that time.
This month it developed exactly the same fine-pitched lines through the
pictures. It is now out of warranty, and Kodak can't offer me any assurance
that, if I pay $135 to have it repaired, it won't develop the same problem
yet again.
I'm now in the market for a similar replacement camera (NOT Kodak), and
would like any suggestions you may have. The V550 specs are fine, just not
the reliability: 5MP, 3x optical zoom (more would be better), 2.5" color
display, optical view finder, 3.7"x2.2"x0.9".
Thanks much,
