Hello, Brian:
My Kodak P850 (5MP, 12x optical) can zoom, while recording video.

Most P&S cameras don't zoom during movie mode. Some don't even focus
during movie mode! This is not intended to be a movie camera.
And, John, the P850 costs a bit more than the C633, and is much larger. >> Stay informed about: Kodak Easyshare C633 |

Hello, Ron:
The P850 is pretty hefty, I'll grant you; yet, it's not significantly
more expensive, than the average 5MP/optical zoom digicam.
Especially, when its vast array of features is taken into account.
That's what I'd call "added value," as the P850 packs a big bang for
the buck.

It certainly does, and if it were small enough to fit in my pocket, I
would certainly buy one, but alas it does not.
Fitting in my pocket is the first requirement for a camera. >> Stay informed about: Kodak Easyshare C633 |

Hello, Ron:
That's quite understandable. I, too, sometimes prefer my (relatively)
compact Kodak DX3900, in spite of its paltry 2x optical zoom and
3.1MP resolution. The P850 and DX6490 (4MP, 10x) can each become
a bit of a drag, due to their bulkiness and rather more complex
operations.
