Greetings Irad,
Kodak continues to offer a firmware upgrade on its web site. You may want to
try updating to the 1.07 version. Not sure about the E1 any longer, but it
might have been from a pin out of place? Another I recall (forgive my old
mind) is damaged lens, but I think that was an E45 error.
Regardless, if you can still update the camera (make sure you have fully
charged batteries). See if it makes a difference and check the camera for
pin damage.
