No, they don't. You have to be a Chinese government official, or a
business owner supported by one, to buy whatever you want, take it back
to your lair, and reverse engineer it however you want. Then,
manufacture a zillion of them and sell them to U.S. cheapskates through
Walmart using off-brand names that these same cheapskates couldn't care
less about. Then, the states will collect the taxes on these purchases
and use that to buy a Beltway lobbyist or two. These lobbyists will buy
all sorts of things for our legislators making them really good friends.
After everyone has really big houses, the legislators will lessen the
cost of Chinese imports. The game begins again like a snake eating it's
own tail. The really good news is the Chinese are making so much money,
and Washington has so little, that loans from mandarin sources
proliferate in the U.S. Treasury, who is using their faux wealth to buy
a war in the ME. But that's a different snake.
So, wait until Walmart uses a never heard of name for dSLR as a loss
leader, and you'll be a happy snapper.
