Hi all,

I recently purchased this camera and I'm having difficulty getting the
wireless part to work.

On my wireless router, a Linksys, I turned off Encryption, MAC
filtering and simply broadcast the SSID.

I turned UPnP on the router, and I even performed a reboot by pulling
the power.

I turned on UPnP on XP and turned off my firewall.

When I try to get the camera to connect to the network, I see a "canon
wireless" device in the My Network Places. So windows is recognizing
it for a little while, but then the camera quits, saying it couldn't
connect and the UPnP device icon disappears.

Can anyone think of anything that might help?

thanks in advance,

K

I forgot to mention. I have upgraded the firmware on both the Camera
and Linksys Router. I've reinstalled Canon's wireless program.

The wireless function will not work with Windows XP 64-bit
addressing. Call Canon's help line and report back, it will
be good for a few giggles.

Thanks for responding. I don't think the XP home edition version
using 64 bit though.
