I read that some readers have a problem with type "H" xD cards. Are
there any that work well with this type of card? There are so many on
Ebay, I have no idea which to get. Would appreciate any help. Thanks!

I have a variety of card readers around, the only one I now use and like is
the Sandisk Iamgemate 12 in 1 reader. Does everything well.

The other way around the problem is to transfer directly from the camera to
the PC.

If the OP doesn't need to read CF cards, Sandisk's smaller 5-in-1
Imagemate is also Type H compatible and is almost 1/2 the price.

If you're in the market for a great photo printer, the hp8250's memory card
reader works fine w/ xd cards.

I have a Sandisk 12 in 1 - I have the XD cards you mention and it
works fine.
