An article in the current issue of the American Scientist
can be read at http://tinyurl.com/35dco2. It is about
advanced capabilities that could be built into future digicams.

Unlike the Scientific American, the American Scientist is
written for scientists. The article may be hard reading for
those with less raining or experience in science, but you
should at least be able to get a sense of what lies in the
future. The first example is something that can be done now
by post-processing, but other examples require cameras that
are designed to capture new kinds of information.
