Archived from groups: rec>photo>digital>slr-systems, others (more info?)

Much like what has happened in the movie industry. Movies in Hollywood are
now made with an eye to pleasing foreigners as much as Americans because
more money now comes in from abroad. However, Hollywood tastes have been
infused worldwide, so it wasn't much of a stretch for Hollywood to cater to
them. For cameras, it seems that traditional DSLRs hold sway in the U.S.,
while more innovative cameras do better overseas. It will be interesting to
see how this dynamic will effect camera design in the next few years.
